MakeSpace is a project of ActNow Theatre.

A centrally-located studio and office space, we are a place for new voices, fresh ideas, loud politics, and big hearts; a place for discussions, developments, rehearsals, readings, forums and performances.

We prioritise artists who are new, who are independent, who are queer, who are culturally diverse, who are First Nations, who are politically motivated, and who are innovating with what art can be.

It's a place for making: making theatre, making poetry, making your voice heard. It's also a call to action: make space. There is a new generation of artists in Adelaide – queer artists, First Nations artists, artists of colour – and they're going to blow the roof off this city. We're proud to offer them space to start making their careers.

As a rehearsal space, our 55m2 light-filled space with a carpeted wooden floor looks out onto Hindley Street; as a flexible performance space we provide basic lighting and PA and can comfortably seat up to 40 people.
